The Reaver Road

The two books are independent, but they both feature adventures of Omar
the Trader of Tales, who may or may not be more than he appears. I have a
soft spot for Omar. He is a flippant and probably unreliable narrator, but
his concern for the suffering of others seems genuine. The Reaver Road: Omar had been everywhere and seen everything, but he had never
met a god. Thus, when the Vorkan Horde overran the Spice Lands, Omar
hurried to Zanadon because it was well known that whenever that ancient
city was in peril, its patron god Balor would return to earth to lead
its armies in person. That was the plan anyway... Reviews: Aristocratic skullduggery, priestly manipulation, and the affairs of a damsel
in distress, in a plot that rushes headlong through a handful of nights and
days with many a devious turning. Locus Omar is not what he seems, and in due course, neither are most of the rest
of the characters. A wild and wacky fantasy adventure. Science Fiction
