New Blades Book

I have just sold a new story about the King's Blades to Five Rivers Publishing.  Title is One Velvet Glove. Fans will recall that a Blade hero named Sir Spender turned up very early in Lord of the Fire Lands while returning the swords of two Blades who had died defending their ward in a faraway land.  He never reappeared and we never learned the details. But hang in there, and in a year or so all will be revealed!  I had great fun revisiting Chivial and all my first reader friends did too.

Better Late Than Never

The first of two books about the Brothers Magnus, Speak to the Devil, was published in hardcover in 2010.  Although it received excellent reviews, the mass market paperback did not follow.  The e-book is available, and now I hear that the paperback is to be released on December 6th.  If you enjoy swords and sorcery, this is your chance to find out what happens when a family can field both.

A New Series!

I am very happy to announce that Night Shade Books will be publishing Ironfoot, the first volume of an historical fantasy series, The Enchanter General, set in Twelfth Century England, when Normans rule and Saxons are the underclass.  Durwin, a crippled Saxon lad, manages to cure an ancient enchantment, Spricest ðu, whose text has been corrupted.  It promptly prophecies murder in his future.  (And, as we all know, in fantasy, prophecies never lie.)

Audio versions

Almost all my books have been issued as audio downloads by Audible (a subsidiary of Amazon).  A dozen or so of these of these are going to be released as CDs in May, 2016.  This does not mean that the download version had been withdrawn; you can still buy those.
