I did not attend my planned signing in Calgary on Oct. 19th, because on the 14th I suffered a mild stroke. This was not the first I have had in recent years, all of which affected my left hand only—a phenomenon that has the neurologists beating their own heads against the walls. (After all the weird stuff my brain has turned out in the last thirty years, why should it stop now?) The latest one also impacted my leg and arm slightly, which justified hospitalization, so here I am, in the rehab section. I am happy to report that I am making very good progress, and expect to be released later this month. Meanwhile, both the second and third parts of “The Enchanter General” have been turned in to the publisher, and One Velvet Glove is even farther along the road—I have actually received my complimentary copies! I also have a couple of half-written books that I hope to complete before I sign off.
